When I was 16 years old, a car accident left me paralyzed from the chest down. It goes without saying that living life in a chair comes with many challenges, but I wouldn’t trade a single moment because it brought me to where I am today. The Lord has given me a platform to inspire others through worship, song, and motivational speaking. It is my heart’s desire to see others boldly coming to the throne of grace; chasing after the things that please the Lord, and longing to be moved by the things that break His heart. When our hearts and eyes are set on Him, we can see His healing, His mercy, His grace, His love, His compassion, and His wisdom for how we can overcome hardships of daily life.
Worship is not a platform or a microphone, but an attitude, a lifestyle, a place to stay. Worship is where I long for my heart to live and God has graciously given me a gift in music to lead others into that place. Music allows me to speak a universal language that everyone can feel and understand. I love what Hans Christian Andersen said- “Where words fail, music speaks.” God has given us music as an act of worship that penetrates straight to the heart.
Zephaniah 3:17 says: “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but rejoice over you with singing.” What a sound that will be! For me, there is no greater joy than giving back the gift of song to my Father that He pours out over us. I’m so thankful for this gift, and I want nothing more than to use it for His glory, and His alone.
